Phillip Pratt
Phillip is a native of Georgetown, KY and a graduate of Scott County High School and the University of Kentucky. While at UK, he was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity and earned his degree in Agricultural Economics. He began his career with Southern States as an assistant manager in their Georgetown and Maysville stores. He then accepted a position as location manager for Cargill, an international agricultural products manufacturer, in Harrison and Scott counties. After a ten year period, he transferred to TruGreen ChemLawn as a commercial sales representative. In 1992, Phillip and his two young sons began mowing on the weekends for additional income. In 1995, Phillip began Pratt's Lawn & Landscape, Inc. with two employees. The company, having provided quality service over the years, has grown to employ twenty-two trained individuals. Phillip has been married for 30 years to the former Martha Jane Nave. They have three children: Ryan, Tyler, and Mariah. |
Evan Sharp
Evan is also a native of Georgetown, KY and a graduate of Scott County High School and the University of Kentucky. In 2003, he earned a bachelor's degree from UK in Plant & Soil Science with an emphasis on Horticulture Enterprise Management. He also earned a minor in Agricultural Economics. Like many young men, Evan worked on his family's farm throughout high school and college to earn money for his education. During college, he began his landscaping career at Hillenmeyer Garden Shops where he sold trees and shrubs and worked with the installation and maintenance crew. Upon graduating, he and a college classmate owned and operated Sharp & Garey Landscapes for two years. After selling his share of the company to his partner, Evan joined Pratt's Lawn & Landscape, Inc. where he has managed the Landscape Division and grown its reputation to be one of the best in the area. Evan and his wife Tania have been married for 2 years and are expecting their first child this summer. |
Thad Ross
Thad is from Danville, KY and graduated from Boyle County High School in 1986. He attended the University of Kentucky, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture in 1992. Thad is also an Eagle Scout and a master gardener, with special interest in perennials, native plants, and habitat restoration. He was chairman of the Georgetown Ducks Unlimited chapter from 2007 to 2009. Upon graduation, Thad started a company called Landscape Alternatives with a classmate, and operated it until 2009, the last six years of which also included operating a garden center in Georgetown. Thad and his wife, Amy, have lived in Leesburg since 1999. |
